Since many of you enjoyed my last recommendation for the US sitcom Modern Family, I'm excited to bring you a UK comedy this time! If you're looking for something to watch with your brain turned off, I highly recommend Miranda. If the humor clicks with you, you'll be laughing the whole way through. It has a bit of a Deadpool-esque vibe, so it can be polarizing, but as a sitcom lover, I absolutely adored it. Things like her talking to the camera/audience, the slapstick comedy, and the chaotic, rambling episodes are surprisingly memorable. It's like realizing a dad joke way too late and laughing at how absurd it is. There are 3 seasons, and each episode is about 30 minutes long, making it a perfect companion for meals. What's interesting is that the actress playing Miranda is actually named Miranda and is reportedly from a prestigious/upper-class British family. I heard she pursued acting because she couldn't resist her comedic ambitions, but it's been a while since I read that, so my memory is a bit hazy.

This is an office romantic comedy starring actors Lee Jun-hyuk and Han Ji-min from the currently popular drama 'Even the Lottery Winner Goes to Work'. The drama begins with the meeting of CEO Kang Ji-yoon, who knows nothing but work, and her perfect secretary, Yoo Eun-ho. Kang Ji-yoon, who is unparalleled in her work but awkward in human relationships and daily life, and Yoo Eun-ho, who assists the CEO closely with his outstanding work skills and meticulous consideration, are characters with different charms. The process of them filling each other's shortcomings while working together goes beyond a simple office romance to a story of mutual understanding and growth. The biggest viewing points of this drama are Kang Ji-yoon's gradual transformation from someone who seemed cold, and the process of Yoo Eun-ho naturally blending into her daily life. It's an office romance that captures the warm growth story of two people who find balance in work and life, not just love, and have a positive influence on each other. It's a good drama to watch as the weather starts to get chilly like these days.

It's a comedic action youth investigative drama about medalists who became police officers through special recruitment, fighting against a world rampant with immorality and fouls, wearing police IDs instead of medals. At first, I watched it casually out of curiosity for the action shown by actor Park Bo-gum. Of course, the setting of national medalists retiring and then becoming police officers was fresh. Especially, it was fun that they utilized the skills they learned from their respective sports, such as boxing, shooting, fencing, wrestling, and discus throw, in their investigations, even though their sports were completely different. People who once received cheers but eventually retired, and who were not recognized as police officers just because they were former national athletes, gradually changed as they encountered situations where their abilities were needed again. I liked that process. It was a work where I could see the story of people starting over beyond light action.

This is the 2023 drama [Moving], released as a Disney+ original, which is acclaimed for setting a milestone in Korean-style superhero stories. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Full, the drama boasts an all-star cast including Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Jo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun, Ryu Seung-beom, Moon Sung-keun, and Go Youn-jung. It is famous for its 20 episodes and an estimated budget of 50 billion KRW. The story revolves around individuals with superpowers who used to carry out secret missions under the Agency for National Security Planning (ANSP). Years later, most of them live ordinary lives as citizens, but trouble begins when an assassin named Frank (Ryu Seung-beom) appears. It is one of Disney+'s most successful Korean content, receiving praise for its compelling story and the actors' outstanding performances. Building on its success, a second season of Moving is currently in production. Following Season 1, the original author Kang Full will write Season 2 as well, and Director Kim Sung-hoon, who directed the drama 'Kingdom,' will take on the new directorial role.

The tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Secret Audit,' which aired in 2026, is an office romantic comedy starring Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae-wook, and Hong Hwa-yeon. The story unfolds when Joo In-ah (Shin Hye-sun), a charismatic head of audit with a hidden secret, meets Noh Gijoon (Gong Myung), an ace auditor who is suddenly demoted to handling disciplinary violations within the company. As they investigate various internal incidents in the audit department, romance and comedic situations unfold alongside. I found this drama quite enjoyable because there were more funny scenes than I expected. While the subject of auditing might seem a bit stiff, the characters' bickering and unexpected situations made it a light and pleasant watch. Shin Hye-sun and Gong Myung's chemistry was particularly good, and it was fun to see them solve cases while also watching their relationship evolve. I watched it with a natural smile, so I'd recommend it to those looking for a lighthearted show!

I recommend Hierarchy to those who enjoy teen dramas! It's a story set in an elite private high school where the top 0.01% of students reign like law and order. It's a drama that's more immersive than I expected, featuring not only a glamorous school life and romance among students but also friendship, conflict, competition, and hidden secrets. At first, I thought it was just a glamorous teen romance, but as a new transfer student appeared, the relationships among the existing students began to waver, and the story became increasingly interesting as their individual secrets and conflicts were revealed. I especially enjoyed seeing the subtle distinctions in relationships among students based on their family background or social standing, and it was impressive that even the seemingly perfect students had their own worries and circumstances. If you like visually stunning teen dramas with romance, conflict, and a touch of mystery, it's definitely worth a watch!

While it shares similarities with the drama 'Misaeng' that we saw before, its focus on the life of a middle-aged man makes it a particularly touching drama: 'The Story of Manager Kim, Who Lives in Seoul and Works for a Major Corporation.'

Season 1 was fun too, but somehow 1938 evoked a sense of patriotism? It's about a gumiho who crash-lands in 1938 and then travels to the present day. The story follows their struggle to return to the side of the woman they love.

This drama tells the story of a woman who, after living a terminal illness life and losing her life due to the betrayal of her husband and best friend, goes back 10 years to the moment of her death and carves out her own destiny. It offers a fresh take by combining the potentially cliché themes of revenge and infidelity with the fantasy element of time travel. It's a story that not only punishes infidelity but also depicts the process of the protagonist forging her own pathetic and miserable fate and finding new love with a reliable ally. The drama seamlessly blends regression, revenge, and romance, making it highly immersive. The story, which could have been heavy, is told humorously, providing a sense of catharsis rather than frustration throughout. The actors' performances were also truly outstanding. In particular, actors Lee Yi-kyung and Song Ha-yoon delivered perfectly villainous performances that were almost infuriatingly good. If you need a refreshing, 'cider'-like plot to blow away the stress of your frustrating daily life, I highly recommend binge-watching this drama.
