I heard that protective amulets need to be brought back to the temple for a fire ritual regularly. In the past, I used to ride my motorcycle all the way from the north to my wife's hometown in the central region, stopping to pay respects and have the amulet blessed with fire whenever I passed by. Now that I drive, I rarely pass by Baishatun. This time, I specifically arranged to go back to the Mazu temple to pay respects and have the amulet blessed with fire. I also visited the old street in front of the temple after a long time. We bought the 'Brave Palanquin Bearer' egg cakes, as well as steamed buns and egg yolk pastries. Today, someone suddenly gave me a small amber Mazu amulet as a gift! May the little amber grow up healthy! Congratulations on reaching 100 people on the bulletin board!

Below Yehliu Ocean World, there's an aquarium, and inside, there are sea turtles. Missing out on seeing sea turtles was my regret from Xiaoliuqiu, along with a bunch of sea turtle photos and pictures from when we went to catch the sunrise early in the morning, which I accidentally deleted! I'm so happy to see sea turtles again, and this time there was even a little Amber! Yehliu Ocean World fulfilled my wish to see sea turtles, so I didn't have to go all the way to Xiaoliuqiu or other outer islands! This is what it feels like to see 300,000 up close!

This is my second visit, and it's different from last time. You can see how Kuo Yuan Ye makes cakes and pastries, and where they are used for occasions like weddings, ancestor worship, birthdays, baby full moons, etc.... There's also an experience area where you can make your own pastries.

So many cute gorillas! My little Amber thought they looked just like her dolls at home and called out to the gorillas, saying they were her little sisters. Next door is the Fuli Township Agricultural Specialty Sales Center. A beautiful lady said she was going to buy a bag of rice to take home because the local specialty here is rice. She bought rice that had a name. I personally think it's super delicious, and it's no wonder it won an award!

The hotel facilities include the Kaz Kids' Paradise, featuring a racetrack, underwater world amusement park, pretend play area, Lego, and a Switch zone where my daughter had a blast. There's also a children's water play area, outdoor spa, various hot spring pools, and doctor fish for exfoliation. That day, the hot springs included a red wine pool, a pink bubble pool, and a cold spring pool, among others. Photography and videography are prohibited in the water play, hot spring, and spa areas! After soaking and spa, I felt really sleepy in the afternoon! Dinner is pricey (discounted with accommodation) but includes unlimited red wine, white wine, and beer! They sprinkle gold flakes on all desserts, adding a touch of luxury! The brunch is served from 07:00 to 13:00, and the rooms even provide a kids' 2-in-1 bubble wash, which is a nice touch.

Unobstructed View: A circular viewing deck on the top floor offers a clear panorama of the azure Pacific Ocean. Address: No. 1, Gangkou, Fengbin Township, Hualien County (on Provincial Highway 11). We were going to Captain's Flying Fish for flying fish fried rice! Good thing we stopped, the ocean view was beautiful.

Chao Fong Farm is beautiful on the outside, but a bit run-down inside. Last time I visited, there was a white-faced Formosan macaque (Xiao Bai), but the staff said he passed away this time. I found many albino animals inside Chao Fong Farm! The peacocks are still flying and walking around everywhere like before! This time we rented a golf cart, and it was so fun to speed around the park! Besides dairy cows, there are many other animals. There's also a cute animal interaction area where you can feed alpacas and tortoises. (But watch out for the golden bomb!) And there's Ultraman, a super huge one at the entrance!

I originally thought the accommodation only included entrance tickets and feeding capybaras, sika deer, and alpacas. When I checked in at the hotel, I discovered there were also matcha wagashi and DIY planting experiences, plus a bunch of other DIY activities. I was totally confused at first. I'm sure the front desk lady was equally confused after explaining everything, thinking 'How can a guest who checks in at 5 PM possibly check out by tomorrow morning?' In the end, for the DIY, I chose a wishing ema, sand art, a versatile fox mask, and a koi flag. Due to time constraints, I only finished the fox mask on-site and took the rest home to complete. There was also a yukata experience and a flying zip line. The included black ruru cafe chicken wings and drinks allowed me to pet the alpacas to my heart's content, and the included LALA Sweets mille-crêpe cake and drinks let me cuddle with purebred cats. There was also a heated swimming pool, and the front desk thoughtfully provided towels. They offered free supper at night, but the bar required a separate payment (though you could use it as a credit). The entire area featured Japanese-style architecture, making it great for photos. I originally planned to leave after feeding the animals the next morning, but I ended up finishing everything by 5 PM! This stay was totally worth the cost!

Inside, there's an introduction to bears, along with displays of fur and animal skeletons, a bear trap, and information about rescuing Taiwanese black bears. I learned about it from the Taiwanese YouTubers 'XuBo & JianZhi'. Their black bear poop keychain sold out, everyone wanted one so badly! Next to the Black Bear Education Center is the famous Qiaotou stinky tofu in Yuli. You can smell it from far away, the aroma is quite strong, but it's really crispy and delicious when you eat it!
