We were browsing a 7-Eleven in Okinawa and suddenly saw Frieren: Beyond Journey's End standees by the ice cream freezer. After translating, we found out that Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is currently having a brand new collaboration event with Japan's 7-Eleven, available at stores nationwide. Event Period: September 24, 2026 (Thursday) 10:00 AM - October 7, 2026 (Wednesday) (Limited quantities available, while supplies last) During the event period, if you purchase 2 specified ice cream products (you can mix and match) at once in-store, you'll receive one "7-ELEVEN Limited Original Clear Standee" for free. There are a total of 4 designs (limited quantities available, while supplies last). We bought two Meiji vanilla ice creams, and for about NT$76 (Taiwanese dollars), we got two ice creams + one Frieren standee. It's way more cost-effective than buying merchandise in Taiwan. #2026-03-15 #NanliaoFishingHarbor #ZhufengFishMarket Heard Nanliao Fishing Harbor opened the Zhufeng Fish Market, so I'm heading there with my wife and little Amber to join the seafood craze! We're not just going for seafood. Just like how my dad used to take us kite-flying when I was little, this time I'm taking little Amber to fly kites. Little Amber is amazing. She can fly a kite even before she's one year old, and she can make the kite fly high even while sitting down. We didn't buy a big kite; the experience is more important than how well it flies. Little Amber did great! Oh, and just a reminder, it's kite-flying.

There are two main buildings (Green Label Life Hall and Culture Hall). Although the museum isn't huge, the entrance fee is only NT$50 and can be used as a discount for souvenirs. Most exhibits are related to customs like weddings and festivals. You can finish exploring in about an hour. If you get tired, you can also grab a coffee and a snack! They also offer a 'First Birthday Grab' (Zhuazhou) service for NT$350 for two adults and one child (includes two entrance tickets and a gift box at the end), which is a great deal! Went on a trip to Okinawa with my family during the National Day holiday. Here to share some travel information~ Every year in early October, Onna Village in Okinawa hosts the lively 'Onna Festival (うんなまつり)' and the spectacular 'Beautiful Sea Fireworks Festival (美ら海花火大会)'. This two-day autumn celebration perfectly blends Okinawan traditional culture with a resort atmosphere. The venue features not only powerful Ryukyu traditional drum dances (EISA) and exciting band performances but also a dazzling array of local food stalls, allowing you to sample authentic Okinawan snacks and beer as you explore. In the evenings, thousands of fireworks are launched into the sky to the rhythm of moving music, creating an ultimate interplay of light and shadow in the dark night sky! Giant fireworks bloom layer by layer, decorating the entire night sky brilliantly and reaching peak romance levels💕 The fireworks are set off by the coast. For safety reasons, the beach area is blocked off, so you can't sit on the sand to watch. Therefore, we walked to the area closest to the sea to find a viewing spot. We were lucky enough to meet some enthusiastic locals who shared their picnic mat with us, and we all sat together, chatting and enjoying the fireworks show~ Viewing Tips: Admission is free. It's recommended to arrive around 5 PM. You can bring a picnic mat to sit and enjoy the sunset while sampling food from the stalls. If the queues at the stalls are too long, you can also buy food from a nearby Lawson and enjoy it back at the venue. Traffic around the area can be heavy after the event ends.
