Xinya Conch Hall
#2026-10-17 #YonganFishingPort #XinyaConchHall After finishing at the Caota Sand Dune Geological Park, we decided to have lunch at Yongan Fishing Port. We initially planned to have a simple meal, but my baby wanted our little Amber to try some seafood, so we went to buy some boiled seafood. Then, the baby wanted sashimi, and after walking around, we bought a bag of fried seafood. We gave up on the idea of enjoying the sea view with a simple meal. We also visited the adjacent Conch Hall. My baby said there was a new exhibition, an immersive and interactive one. We even had afternoon tea, and little Amber got so tired she fell asleep in her stroller, sleeping soundly.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a seashell cake for afternoon tea~ It was lemon cake, Hakka "wen shui", ice cream, lei cha, and latte.

Caota Sand Dune Geological Park
#2026-10-17 #CaotaSandDuneGeologicalPark I went to the wrong place again this time. You should navigate to the Caota Guanyin Exhibition Hall. Although the exhibition hall is already closed, there is water to clean up and a restroom to use, and it's close to the sand dunes and the beach. Little Amber played in the sand and chased the sea at the beach for the first time.

Taoyuan Danbao Biotechnology Ageless Village
Admission is 150 NTD/person. The outdoor area (Edo Street) allows for a 50 NTD discount. The park isn't very large, but the staff are enthusiastic with their introductions, and you can learn about eggs. Perhaps because I went on a weekday, only one shop selling fish eggs and tea eggs was open, and others didn't even have drinks, which was a bit of a shame. Indoors, they sell various egg-related products, even fresh eggs. I asked a staff member, and they said the chickens that lay Danbao eggs are free-range and have an independent supply chain, unaffected by egg shortages. There's a Longevity Deity statue in the park for worship, and you can also rent kimonos. Considering my sister wouldn't suit it (actually, her figure), we didn't rent them!

Shoushan Zoo
Coin press machine is working. Money changer is working. You can't eat or drink freely here; you have to hide in the shops. It's like playing a game, you need a safe house to avoid getting attacked. When we went, we even ate lunch inside the cages.

Okinawa Stargazing Secret Spot✨️🌌
Today, I'm introducing a secret stargazing spot in Okinawa shared by locals – the "Kaichu Doro" (Road in the Sea)! 🌉 When I first heard "Kaichu Doro," I imagined it would be like a typical bridge over the sea, where you could look down at the clear water from above. But it was completely different from what I expected! I was surprised to see such a long and large parking lot right by the roadside on the bridge, and even a series of giant, fish-scale-like stairs leading down to the beach, allowing for a zero-distance encounter with the sea! It truly is a "road in the sea" in the literal sense! It was astonishing! 😮 The Kaichu Doro is the main road connecting four stunning remote islands: "Henza Island," "Hama-higa Island," "Miyagi Island," and "Ikei Island." During the day, it's a famous tourist spot in Okinawa where many visitors come to enjoy the scenery, play in the water, or browse the "Sea Station" (rest stop) and enjoy local food. However, at night, it transforms into a secret stargazing paradise for locals. When we visited, only a few cars were there, and the parking lot was very spacious. After parking and getting out of the car, we were stunned by the sight before us. Looking up, we saw a sky full of stars, so many it felt like we could reach out and touch them. There were hardly any people around. The chirping of crickets and the sound of waves crashing on the shore were very clear at night, creating a serene atmosphere. We spread out our picnic mat directly on the stairs, lay back, and enjoyed smoothies and snacks bought from a convenience store while gazing at the starry sky. It was so relaxing and comfortable~ We also managed to catch the tail end of the meteor shower season. Although I haven't taken star photos in a while and was a bit rusty, I could still faintly capture a part of the Milky Way (picture 5). It was my first time seeing the Milky Way abroad, leaving us with a surprising and beautiful memory of our Okinawa trip~ Ran out of characters, will continue in the comments~

Taoyuan Su Family Manor
Admission is 200 NTD per person, which can be used for 50 NTD at the restaurant. However, there's an additional 100 NTD parking fee. Mostly birds, with meerkats and chinchillas being the most unique. The pizza for lunch was delicious, and the garden landscaping has a Japanese style. Downsides are that it's inconvenient to push a stroller around the park, you can't feed or interact with the animals, and the entrance fee is quite high (suggest canceling the parking fee). Overall, the cost-performance ratio is low... Lots of sandflies, so bug spray is a must!
