The Central Weather Administration stated that until the end of September, most of Taiwan will experience hot weather with mostly cloudy to clear skies and high temperatures. However, as the northeast monsoon strengthens next Thursday (October 1st), areas north of Taoyuan and the eastern half of the island will shift to a pattern of localized brief showers, with high temperatures consequently dropping. People can expect a noticeable autumn chill.

Good news: Absolutely great weather for the Mid-Autumn Festival! Bad news: No typhoon holiday next week. This year the AT Field has driven away so many typhoons :D:D The only typhoon holiday we got was a total letdown. Damn it. (Affected by high pressure, so typhoons can't reach Taiwan)

Typhoon 'Surigae' May Form as Early as Today: The Meteorological Agency stated that the tropical depression could develop into this year's new typhoon 'Surigae' as early as the 24th and potentially strengthen into a moderate typhoon by the 25th. It's currently forecast to approach Taiwan, but its later path remains to be observed, and whether moon-gazing will be possible across the island during the Mid-Autumn Festival is still uncertain.
