Episodes 507-508: The Dead End in the Karaoke Booth★★
I find it totally unreasonable that Conan suspects Eisuke Hondou. He suspected him because the victim was an FBI agent, and Eisuke said he dislikes being restrained, which led to him being suspected of murder. But would an FBI agent be so easily killed by someone who might bump into a utility pole while walking down the street? The victim deserved it too, getting involved in a previous kidnapping case. This time, he was stalking Sonoko. I don't really understand why someone who wants to kidnap people would keep taking secret photos. And since they kidnapped a child before, why did they suddenly shift their focus to a high school girl walking with everyone else? Maybe they knew Sonoko's family was wealthy. The method of murder was quite clever, using coins stuffed in socks as a weapon and even using a vending machine to spend all the money. However, when someone later tried to get a refund or the vendor came to collect the money, they would have found a pile of blood-stained coins and figured out how the murder was committed. It was a gamble; if someone else had been around when the act was committed, they would have been caught immediately. In the end, the culprit tried to make excuses, but Conan, using Sonoko's voice, pointed out that no one mentioned the victim's gender. Yet, the killer knew the victim was male. I was stunned when I saw that. Isn't it obvious from the body that it's a man? (Or did I misunderstand the plot?)

Episodes 505-506: Lawyer Eri Kisaki's Testimony★★★
I have to say, Conan's hearing is really amazing. He could hear the mechanism's sound from two lanes away. Conan walked past the crowd gathered around the body, took one look, and immediately pinpointed the culprit. As expected, culprits shouldn't return to the crime scene, or they'll be easily discovered. With hair so obvious near the neck wound, and it's a child-like appearance telling the police. Is Inspector Megure just supposed to handle the big belly? Minashiro (the culprit) choosing Eri as a witness was smart, but if not handled properly, it could have become the key to her conviction. In the end, Eri no longer trusted her and instead cited legal provisions so the police could smoothly search for evidence (though that's probably a regulation the police already knew, but it was necessary for the plot). Minashiro's motive for murder is also quite ridiculous, just jealousy and hatred, but it really wasn't worth it... (When I post, I usually briefly mention the plot and add some complaints. The article title will include a star rating for the case, with a maximum of five stars. These are all personal opinions, and discussions are welcome.)
