This song is a bit heavy. It's about death and is very touching. About ten years ago, when I first entered the workforce. My workplace was very unique, so the office atmosphere was great. Serious colleagues were like friends. The only downside was the low salary 🥹 But we often received 'provisions' (?) from various sources, saving us a lot on living expenses (especially food), which wasn't too bad... However, that year, certain social issues were at their peak, and one of our colleagues couldn't cope and harmed themselves. Our office was in chaos for a while. Initially, I wasn't too sad because I wasn't very close to him. So, compared to the colleagues who were deeply saddened, I was more involved in dealing with the media and comforting students... But during the Christmas break that year, after the last study group of the semester ended, the colleague who was a psychologist and I were the last ones to leave, locking up and taking out the trash together. It was then that I suddenly realized that one person was forever missing from our group. He hadn't gone abroad to study or transferred departments; he was simply no longer able to speak with us. In the following months, this feeling grew stronger after work. The person who insisted on gathering everyone for meals and movies was gone. Especially for an 'extroverted introvert' like me, who prefers to stay quiet and watch others go wild from the sidelines, the feeling was very pronounced. It was only then that I gradually began to feel that I was indeed sad... Just as the song describes, he just evaporated.
