Nan Quan Mama - Mermaid's Tears

One of the songs I really loved from the album back then. I loved the lyrics, especially how the last line directly mentions the mermaid and it's no longer a question. Lyrics: Through the porthole, you watched the silhouette all night Falling in love where the sky meets the sea You endured the pain, trading your voice for legs Just to get closer to the one you love You gambled destruction, believing true love lasts forever Not understanding devotion isn't for humans And you didn't even have anyone to hear your farewell Withering away with the waves after dawn Your tears, a pure, innocent drop Don't belong in this indifferent world Giving up everything, just for one chance To give your true love Your tears, a pure, innocent drop Turns out feelings are so hard to learn Who is by his side? No regrets before or after disappearing Is your sadness as deep as the sea? You gambled destruction, believing true love lasts forever Not understanding devotion isn't for humans Your most beautiful dream shattered like a bubble Leaving only a sorrowful page in the fairy tale Your tears (Your tears), a pure, innocent drop (a pure, innocent drop) Don't belong in this indifferent world Giving up everything, just for one chance To give your true love Your tears (Your tears), a pure, innocent drop (a pure, innocent drop) Turns out feelings are so hard to learn Who is by his side? No regrets before or after disappearing Is your sadness as deep as the sea? Your tears (Your tears), a pure, innocent drop (a pure, innocent drop) Turns out feelings are so hard to learn Who is by his side? No regrets before or after disappearing The mermaid's final tears are as deep as the sea
