Discussing the anime "Buddy Daddies" 💥👨👧｜Old Post Revision & Re-upload

Finally, I've moved the last post before the billboard feature was enabled to the "Let's Discuss Anime" board! This post officially marks the end of the "Old Post Revision & Re-upload" series😆 ----- This is an original anime that aired in January 2023, with a total of 12 episodes. The story follows two killer partners living together, Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, who unexpectedly meet a 4-year-old girl named Miri during a mission. Through a series of coincidences, they begin a life of "two killers raising a daughter together." When I first saw this premise, the first thing that came to mind was "a male version of Spy x Family" 🤣 I even started watching with the expectation of potential BL undertones, but as I watched, there wasn't much ambiguity between the two dads, and the story clearly focused on family and parental bonds. I'm not particularly fond of children, and I almost gave up early on due to the troublesome Miri 🤣 I continued watching it as a lighthearted parenting slice-of-life, and surprisingly, it became more engaging over time, and I gradually grew to like their interactions, especially Rei, who seemed cold but was terrible at daily life😆 In the latter half, as issues arising from their killer identities surface, the story seriously explores whether the three can truly become a family. The final episode really moved me🥹 Although it wasn't particularly amazing in the early stages, looking back, for a 12-episode original anime, the process from their unexpected meeting to becoming a true family is concluded quite completely. It's a heartwarming work.
