Naruto, Spoiler Alert

Naruto episode 6, 'Important Mission! Departure to the Land of Waves,' depicts the first C-rank escort mission undertaken by Team 7. Naruto, tired of D-rank missions like cat-catching, complains to the Hokage and secures a mission to escort the bridge-building master Tazuna back to the Land of Waves. Shortly after leaving the village, Kakashi senses something amiss with a puddle and is ambushed by two ninja from the Hidden Mist Village. Kakashi uses a substitution jutsu to evade, and while Sasuke looks for an opening to counterattack, Naruto trembles in fear. Kakashi discovers the mission is actually B-rank and questions Tazuna about hiding the truth. Naruto stabs himself with a kunai, vowing not to let his comrades protect him again. While Kakashi bandages him, he notices the wound is strangely healing on its own, suspecting a connection to the Nine-Tails. The episode concludes with Naruto's resolve, while also foreshadowing the appearance of 'The Demon of the Hidden Mist,' Momochi Zabuza.
