Naruto, Spoiler Alert

Naruto episode 8, 'The Vow of Painful Resolve,' continues the fierce battle with Zabuza. Kakashi, using his Sharingan, sees through Zabuza's water clone and holds his sword to the opponent's throat, seemingly gaining the upper hand. However, this Zabuza is also a water clone, and the situation instantly reverses, with Kakashi trapped in the Water Prison Jutsu, unable to move. The responsibility of protecting Tazuna falls to Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Naruto and Sasuke's attacks are useless against Zabuza's water clone, and the two are easily defeated, their headbands stomped underfoot. Faced with an overwhelming difference in power, Naruto considers running away, but the pain from his left hand injury reminds him of his vow, 'I will never run away again.' He gathers his courage and, with a flash of inspiration, devises a desperate joint attack strategy. This episode concludes with Naruto regaining his resolve, foreshadowing a counterattack to rescue Kakashi in the next episode.
