Pokemon Trivia

• The urban legend of a temporary departure: During the Orange Islands arc, Brock (小剛) was temporarily replaced by Tanner (小健). There was a theory that the production team was worried Brock's 'squinty eyes' appearance might perpetuate racial stereotypes of Asians in Western regions. However, he became very popular in the West, while Tanner's popularity remained lukewarm, leading to Brock's swift return in the Johto arc.
