Why is it called 'Fragrant Smoke' when it smells so bad?
Setting aside the marketing and historical anecdotes, one historical fact is quite interesting. Early manufacturing processes involved adding spices. While modern cigarettes are mostly filled with the smell of tar and chemical combustion, early traditional tobacco had flavorings, honey, licorice, or special plant essential oils added to the tobacco leaves during processing (especially when cigarettes were introduced) to mask the bitter taste. The faint aroma released during combustion indeed made people at the time feel it was 'fragrant'. If it at least tasted like modern e-cigarettes, maybe it would have been acceptable.

Personally, I think people who smoke are inconsiderate, selfish, don't care about their own health, and don't consider others' feelings. For non-smokers, smelling smoke is pure torture. My neighbors on the left and right both smoke, and the smoke seeps in through my door cracks. I have to use a fan to blow it out every time, I really hate it. If anyone gets lung cancer, it's these people's fault. Secondhand smoke is super toxic, and there's even thirdhand smoke. Some people say, 'Why haven't any of us smokers gotten lung cancer?' Then non-smokers get lung cancer. Damn it, it's people like you smokers who cause it, and you still say that. Sorry for getting worked up 😅
