Mystery, coming-of-age, sci-fi, fantasy, love. Five stories set in a single city, each in a different genre. What was truly fascinating was how these stories subtly overlapped and influenced each other in unexpected ways, eventually leading to their conclusions. Everyone is a protagonist, and everyone is a supporting character in someone else's story, but the people within the narrative can never know about these hidden connections. Only the reader can know everything. It's a work that allows you to have that privileged perspective, making you glad to be a reader. This is the work of a genius who wrote and brought together five different genres. Highly recommended!

This is the novelization of Dragon Quest V, famous as a masterpiece game! Even if you don't know the game, with extensive additions and a story development unique to the novel version, it's a grand adventure novel with plenty of substance! The protagonist's name is Lucas. Not only the protagonist but also other characters have their in-game names and real names set, and there are also scenes where monster companions are active, making it a work I want both those who know the game and those who don't to read! Scenes that were glossed over in the game are depicted with their "emotions" fully realized, so there are many moments that make you realize things anew. I felt the protagonist's pure-heartedness was pushed to a whole new level compared to the game version...! To those who have played! Who did you choose as your bride? Bianca? Flora? Or perhaps Deborah? It's an eternal debate. I couldn't imagine choosing anyone but Bianca! I feel like this novel version has further strengthened that feeling...!

"The Encyclopedia of Things I Want to Know"... Found it! Everyone, do you like words? I love them. Everyone, do you like deepening your knowledge? I love it. As the title suggests, this "Encyclopedia of Things I Want to Know" is an illustrated encyclopedia of things you might want to know. It's stylish, approachable, and educational just by reading it, designed with a straightforward and rich sensibility by Mikke, combining various motifs. I believe that quietly accumulated knowledge is a nutrient for life. This book is a gem of an encyclopedia that enriches the soul. For example, three-digit phone numbers. 110 for the police, 117 for weather forecasts, 171 for disaster message dial... These are three-digit phone numbers that you might want to use in emergencies but could forget in a panic, made easy to understand at a glance in a single illustration. For example, ages. Two-character kanji that represent ages, derived from the Analects. Shigaku (志学) for age 15, Jiritsu (而立) for age 30, Fuwaku (不惑) for age 40... These are things you might not use daily but are good to know as part of your education, designed with building signs as motifs. Fun to look at, Useful to read, This author's books are made with kindness.

Just finished reading it. I feel like I can't really comment on it after just one read, so I think I'll reread the parts about the Dai Kingdom and come back. For now, I'll just say I didn't expect the pumpkin to be recovered!

The story's setting is a Ferris wheel gondola, trapping four pairs of passengers. Each pair is in a different situation, with different intentions and conflicts. Why were these people brought together in the same place? As you read on, their individual circumstances are gradually revealed. Then, a commonality is discovered among them, people who seemed to have no connection, and the story takes an unexpected turn... The events and the characters' words and actions that were initially incomprehensible later gain meaning, much like watching multiple scenes simultaneously on a stage. When everything connects at the end, the satisfaction of realizing 'So that's what it was!' is incredibly fulfilling. This is a work where you can experience the emotion of multiple characters' stories intertwining to form one grand narrative in the end.

You can just laugh without thinking about anything (lol) It's also been animated. Nozaki-kun, a high school boy who loves shojo manga and is active as a shojo manga artist!! It's the story of his comfortable? manga artist life, dragging in his acquaintances, seniors, juniors, and the heroine Sakura who has a crush on him. Everyone around him is also weird, and it's fun and interesting to read. I'm reading it volume after volume!

A work by Hikaru Nakamura. Volume 22 is probably the latest. Buddha, the awakened one, and Jesus, the son of God. Having safely survived the end of the world, the two are sharing an apartment in Tachikawa, Tokyo, and spending their vacation on Earth. Buddha is concerned about small change. Jesus tends to make impulse purchases. These are the Tachikawa days of the "most holy" duo. A heartwarming comedy about Buddha and Jesus. Saving the world with "laughter" too! Anecdotes from the Bible and other sources are scattered throughout as gags, making it a work that will make you chuckle.

Kazuki Mayama (Older Brother) - Finder Shop Director, Good-natured, a bit flirty/slick Shirou Mayama (Younger Brother) - Not blood-related, Staff, Masseuse 　　　　　　Can hear but cannot speak 　　　　　　Cold-blooded, Psychic (Grandmother was a medium) Yusuke Tokuhiro - Idol-otaku Lawyer (Fan of Anemone7 Miimii) Hayashi Mitsui - Solitary shut-in (Fan of Anemone7 Miimii) Mitsui loses his home in a fire, is taken in by Kazuki out of sympathy, and ends up lodging with them. Then, everyone works together to find the culprit... While suppressing Shirou's psychic outbursts, they go on to solve various other finder cases and incidents... There are heartwarming moments alongside the eerie ones. Things that can't be done alone are accomplished through cooperation, and the circle of people expands.

'Blue Mother' is a bit niche, but I recommend it to those who occasionally crave some damp, terrifying horror. (Though I'm not sure if such people exist! 💦) It's more unsettling than outright horror, and it's available as an e-book. The other book, also an e-book, is my absolute favorite. It's a story about a chaotic family, but these family members are incredibly strong!! Especially the mother and the eldest daughter!! I applaud the scenes where they thoroughly corner their opponents to protect the family. This author is known for major works like 'Delphinia Senki' and 'Scarlet Wizard,' but they're so much more than just that!! If you're interested, definitely check them out!!

It's a collection of 26 short stories, like a collection of short shorts, yet it also has the feel of a full-length novel with loose connections between each story. As the title "People Around Here" suggests, the story revolves around the people living in this town? region? The characters are all peculiar, being seriously unserious and eerily peaceful. The town itself also has a strange, dreamlike atmosphere where common sense seems skewed and time and space feel warped, yet it all feels natural, which is part of its charm. In dreams, logic and facts break down, but somehow you find yourself accepting them. Reading this book gives you that kind of feeling. It's a novel that, despite its short length, takes you to a dense and mysterious world.
