Rabbits Don't Actually Like Carrots

While cartoons and anime (like Warner Bros.' Bugs Bunny) often associate rabbits with carrots, in reality, carrots are not a rabbit's staple food, and it's indeed not advisable for rabbits to eat too many carrots. High Sugar Content: Carrots are rich in sugar and carbohydrates. If rabbits consume too much sugar, it can easily lead to obesity, tooth decay, and even an imbalance of gut flora and gastrointestinal stasis. Digestive Burden: A rabbit's digestive system is evolved to adapt to high-fiber, low-nutrient foods. Carrots are root vegetables and lack sufficient fiber to meet a rabbit's needs for teeth grinding and maintaining intestinal motility. Correct Rabbit Diet Structure: Unlimited Hay (Staple, 80-90%): Such as Timothy Hay, high fiber helps with rabbit's intestinal movement and continuous teeth grinding. Appropriate Amount of Pellets/Rabbit Food (10%): To supplement essential micronutrients. Clean Water and Fresh Leafy Greens (5-10%): Such as celery leaves, romaine lettuce, water spinach, etc. Carrots and Fruits (Treats, Less than 5%): Can only be given occasionally in small chopped pieces, never as a staple food.

👃✨【Do Noses Take Shifts? Introducing the 'Nasal Cycle'!】🤣

👃✨【Today's Fun Fact | Your nose actually 'takes shifts'!】 Did you know that usually, both nostrils don't breathe in the same amount of air simultaneously? One side tends to be more open while the other is more congested, and they switch every few hours. This is called the 'nasal cycle'.👃✨ So, sometimes when you feel, "Huh? Why is the other side suddenly clearer?" it might not be a stuffy nose, but just your nostrils switching shifts!🤣 🌷【A Warm Little Blessing for a Happy Day】 When you're tired, take a break, just like your nose knows to switch shifts. Hope you don't push yourself too hard today, and that everything goes smoothly and easily, filling your heart with little joys.💗🍀✨

The Day That Vanished

When Great Britain and its territories, along with the thirteen North American colonies, switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar in 1752, they skipped dates directly, making September 4th cease to exist.

A Gorilla Once Saved a Child Who Fell Into the Enclosure🦍

In 1996, an incident occurred at the Brookfield Zoo in the United States. A 3-year-old boy fell from a height of about 5.5 meters into the gorilla exhibit, hitting the ground hard and losing consciousness for a moment. At this point, an 8-year-old female gorilla named Binti Jua approached him. Instead of attacking, she gently picked him up and carried him to a spot where staff could reach him, allowing the boy to be rescued safely. What's even more remarkable is that Binti was carrying her own 17-month-old baby, Koola, clinging to her back at the time. So, she was essentially carrying her own baby while holding a human child who had fallen from who-knows-where🤣 The entire process was filmed by onlookers at the scene, leaving behind real footage. Binti was raised by humans from a young age and had received childcare training, so we can't be sure if her actions stemmed from empathy, maternal instinct, or past training. However, she did gently protect and move the injured child away🦍❤️ I had actually seen an AI-generated video with a similar plot before, and at the time, I just thought, 'AI is making up another animal rescue story.' I never imagined something like this actually happened in 1996!

Iced Sweet Potato - Consumption and Storage Precautions

1. Make sure to cool it down before refrigerating to make iced sweet potatoes. 2. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow the sweet potato to generate the maximum amount of resistant starch. It needs time to develop. 3. Best consumed within five days when stored in the refrigerator. Sealed and frozen, it can be stored for up to two months. 4. For a chilled sensation, let it thaw at room temperature before eating. If you prefer it warm, you can briefly heat it in the microwave. Iced sweet potatoes have only half the calories of regular ones. Resistant starch and dietary fiber aid in digestion, fight cancer, and stabilize blood sugar, making them a great carbohydrate choice for dietary control and fat loss. Here's some info for you all 😉☺️👍

King of Sweet Potatoes - Chilled Sweet Potato (Resistant Starch)

Steamed sweet potato, baked sweet potato, and a sweet potato that's been chilled for a day – the impact of these three on your body. Steamed, baked, and chilled sweet potatoes have three main effects on the body due to differences in heating temperature and cooling processes: 1. Blood Sugar Fluctuation: Baked sweet potatoes, due to high-temperature roasting, promote the conversion of starch to maltose, resulting in the highest glycemic index (GI > 80), which easily causes drastic blood sugar spikes. Steamed sweet potatoes have high water content and a moderate GI (around 63). Chilled sweet potatoes, after refrigeration or freezing, develop 'resistant starch,' leading to the lowest GI and the most gradual rise in blood sugar. 2. Calorie Absorption and Weight Management: The resistant starch in chilled sweet potatoes is difficult for the small intestine to digest, producing only about 2 kcal per gram (compared to 4 kcal for regular starch). This means fewer calories are absorbed and it promotes a longer feeling of fullness, making it ideal for weight loss. Baked sweet potatoes lose moisture during roasting, making them the most calorie-dense by weight, easily leading to overconsumption. Steamed sweet potatoes retain more water and have a moderate calorie density. 3. Gut Health and Digestive Load: The resistant starch in chilled sweet potatoes acts as food for beneficial gut bacteria (prebiotics), aiding in maintaining gut health and regularity. However, individuals with sensitive digestive systems may experience bloating if they consume too much. Steamed and baked sweet potatoes are easier to digest, and eating them with the skin provides abundant dietary fiber. The best approach is to buy sweet potatoes yourself, wash them thoroughly with the skin on, steam them, let them cool, and then refrigerate them for a day to become 'resistant starch.' Remember to eat them with the skin on.

Soldiers' Day

Origin of the "93" Soldiers' Day In 1946, the National Government of the Republic of China designated September 3rd as the "Victory Day of the War of Resistance." In 1955, to enhance the unity of the three armed forces and to honor the sacrifice and dedication of the loyal soldiers of the National Army, this day was officially established as "Soldiers' Day." Starting in 2005, the government further designated this day as the "National Defense Education Day for All Citizens," imbuing it with the contemporary value of national defense for everyone.

Fun Facts Sharing

The 'n' in the 7-ELEVEN sign is lowercase. If you thread a straw through the tab of an easy-open can, it won't float up. Milk chocolate has more caffeine than Coca-Cola. Chocolate is deadly to dogs. Just a few ounces can kill a small dog, causing death due to damage to the heart and nervous system. A person walks an average of 20,000 steps a day, totaling 7 million steps a year. If you live to be 70, that adds up to 500 million steps, or 384,000 kilometers. This distance is exactly the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

The 'Wolf Girls' 🐺👧 Amala and Kamala That Once Shocked the World

A couple of days ago, I introduced the wolf children Dina and the feral child Victor. Today, I'm bringing back another once very famous case – the Indian 'wolf girls' Amala and Kamala. In 1920, missionary Joseph Singh claimed he rescued two girls from near a wolf den. According to his description, they walked on all fours, preferred raw meat, were active at night, and even howled like wolves 🐺 This story spread worldwide and became a frequently cited case in studies of 'children raised by animals'. However, years later, researchers re-examined the data and found that things were increasingly questionable… Singh's detailed 'diary' wasn't a complete contemporaneous record of the events; some famous photographs were also questioned for being staged, severely challenging the story's credibility. Some researchers even believe the girls might have been abandoned children with developmental disabilities who were later packaged as 'girls raised by wolves'. So, while we can't be certain to this day that the entire thing was fabricated, what we can be sure of is this – It can no longer be considered reliable evidence that 'wolves actually raise human children'. After looking into three stories about wolf children/feral children, I realized: The ones we should be most wary of might not be the wolves, but the stories left behind by humans 🐺
