The Suitcase Under the Bed (A Solo Dweller's Nightmare) 2

At first, Xiao Min thought it was a mouse, so she placed a mousetrap by her bed. However, after several days, not a single mouse was caught. One deep night, Xiao Min was fast asleep when she was suddenly jolted awake by violent shaking. She opened her eyes and realized it wasn't an earthquake, but the bed she was lying on was violently shaking up and down from underneath, accompanied by the sound of chains and leather rubbing together, 'thump, thump'! Xiao Min was so terrified that she curled up in a corner, too scared to move. After a few minutes, the shaking suddenly stopped, and the entire room fell into a deathly silence. Gathering her courage, Xiao Min trembled as she peeked under the bed. By the faint moonlight from the window, she saw that the old suitcase, which had been securely locked, now had a small gap. A shriveled, blackened human hand was emerging from the crack in the suitcase, its fingers tapping against the bed frame, trying to pry the box open a little wider...

The Suitcase Under the Bed (A Solo Dweller's Nightmare)

The Suitcase Under the Bed (A Solo Dweller's Nightmare) To save money, Xiaomin rented a very cheap single studio apartment near the school district. The room had great natural light, but the only drawback was a heavy, old leather suitcase left by the previous tenant under the bed, locked with a big padlock. The landlady said it was junk left by the former tenant, that the key was lost, and she'd have someone come move it soon. Xiaomin lived comfortably for the first week. But in the second week, she started hearing a strange 'rustling' sound in the middle of the night. The sound was faint and muffled, like something was slowly scraping the floor under the bed. Xiaomin initially thought it was a mouse and set a trap by the bed, but after several days, not a single mouse was caught.

Her Next Door Neighbor Ep. 8: The Dark Crawlspace of No Return

Endless, looping stairs of terror in front, and twisted corpses closing in from behind. With no other choice, I had to brace myself and rush into the dark crawlspace of Room 404. The moment my feet stepped into that narrow gap, the hidden door behind me slammed shut with a 'boom,' completely cutting off all sound and light. Darkness and dead silence enveloped everything. A strong stench of rotting meat and formaldehyde hit my nostrils, making me gag. I reached out my hands to feel the walls, but all I touched was a slippery, cold, and strangely hairy texture. It felt less like a concrete wall and more like the inner lining of some massive creature. "Is anyone there?" I asked in a low voice, my words sounding incredibly dry in the confined space. No one answered. But I could feel it. I wasn't alone in this pitch-black crawlspace. Countless faint breaths, not human, rose and fell around me. Suddenly, my foot stepped on something soft. I crouched down and felt it with my hand. It was a rough, gray robe, and wrapped within it was a cold, stiff, headless male corpse. It was the landlord's body. Before I could even scream, a single drop of cold, viscous liquid fell from the ceiling, landing precisely on my cheek. Slowly, I looked up. In the darkness, countless pairs of glowing, bloodshot eyes opened simultaneously.

The Never-Ending Staircase (Campus Ghost Story) 2

Xiao Wen was walking down the stairs while scrolling on his phone. "Fourth floor, third floor, second floor…" When he reached what should have been the first floor, he found the fire escape door painted with a large 'B1' in red. Xiao Wen paused for a moment, thinking he had miscounted the floors while distracted by his phone. So, he turned and continued downwards, figuring there would be an exit to the parking lot from the basement. However, he descended another two full floors. The air around him grew colder and more eerie, and the walls became damp and stained. When he looked up at the floor indicator again, it read: 'B5'. This building was supposed to only have one basement level! Goosebumps prickled Xiao Wen's skin, and he immediately turned and sprinted back up. He climbed the stairs frantically, counting the floors in his head. He didn't know how long he had been climbing; his legs ached and he was breathless. When he finally saw a fire escape door with a faint light shining through, he joyfully pushed it open. Behind the door lay a dark corridor. At the end of the corridor, standing by the department office door, was another Xiao Wen, scrolling on his phone and about to head towards the emergency stairs.

The Never-Ending Staircase (Campus Ghost Story) 1

Xiao Wen is a freshman at a university. One night, he was helping out at his department office in the main academic building until past 11 PM. The entire building was already empty, and the corridor's motion-sensor lights flickered on and off. He reached the elevator, only to find it under maintenance. He decided to take the emergency stairs nearby. The building only had five floors, and the department office was on the fourth. It was just a few flights down to the first-floor lobby. Xiao Wen scrolled through his phone as he walked down the stairs. "Fourth floor, third floor, second floor…"

Footsteps on the Roof

Old Li lived on the seventh floor, the top floor. For the past month, every night at 2 AM, he could hear heavy footsteps, 'thump, thump, thump,' coming from the roof, as if someone was running up there late at night. Old Li was driven to near madness and reported it to the property management several times. They told him the rooftop door was always locked and no one could possibly get up there. This night at 2 AM, the footsteps sounded right on schedule again. Enraged, Old Li grabbed a flashlight and an iron pipe and rushed straight to the rooftop. The heavy padlock on the iron gate leading to the roof was already rusted and caked, clearly having not been opened in years. Old Li struggled to break the lock and pushed the door open. The rooftop was eerily silent, empty. Old Li shone his flashlight on the ground and suddenly noticed thick dust covering the concrete floor. And on the dust, there were only the footprints he had just made. He breathed a sigh of relief, thinking he was hallucinating, and prepared to go downstairs. Just then, he habitually raised his flashlight to shine on the ceiling – A clear set of footprints was hanging upside down from the ceiling directly above him, extending from the rooftop door all the way to the spot he was currently standing. The starting point of the footprints was right on his shadow.

Last Will Recording

Xiao Wang's aunt passed away unexpectedly in another city, and the police found a voice recorder at the scene. Xiao Wang was responsible for sorting through his aunt's belongings, so he took the recorder home to see if she had left any final instructions. There was only one recording file, half an hour long, filled with prolonged silence, occasionally broken by the sound of wind. Xiao Wang dragged the progress bar, and only in the last few seconds did he hear his aunt's faint, desperate breaths: "It's knocking on the door... It's coming in... It's touching my face..." This was followed by a burst of static, and the recording ended. Xiao Wang's spine chilled. Just as he was about to shut down the computer, he accidentally hit the reverse playback button. The audio software played the last segment of static in reverse at normal speed, and the content was crystal clear: an extremely deep voice with a mocking chuckle: "Whose ear is this voice recorder next to right now?" Xiao Wang's head snapped up, and he heard the 'click' of the door locking from inside the room...

A Parent's Unfinished Business

A Parent's Unfinished Business My great aunt was gravely ill before she passed. When she died, her eyes were wide open, and her hands were clenched tightly around her infant grandson beside her, refusing to let go. It took considerable effort for everyone to pry her fingers open, one by one. On the day of the funeral, the Taoist priest said the old woman had too much attachment and might not rest in peace. He specially laid a layer of specially made white ash at the bottom of the coffin, calling it a method to 'leave footprints.' If the deceased truly couldn't bear to leave, footprints would appear on the white ash on the seventh day after death. On the night of the seventh day, the whole family kept vigil at the mourning hall. As midnight struck, a strong wind suddenly howled outside, and faint 'clack, clack' sounds of collision came from inside the coffin. Everyone was too scared to move, and they barely managed to endure until dawn. The Taoist priest quickly led the way to open the coffin and investigate. Indeed, on the layer of smooth white ash at the bottom of the coffin, there were footprints everywhere. However... all the footprints led from outside the coffin, stepping into the coffin one by one. Moreover, the size of the footprints was exactly the same as the little grandson's feet. Everyone suddenly turned to look, only to find that the little grandson lying beside them, who had kept vigil with them, had already stopped breathing. White ash was still clinging to the soles of his feet.

Don't Look Back (The Phone Call by the Sea) 2

After a few seconds, his mother said to Xiaoming in an unprecedented, extremely terrified and trembling voice: "Son… listen to your mother, walk forward slowly right now, and absolutely, absolutely do not look back. Because… they know you found them." If Xiaoming was already facing away from them, how did his mother know that couple was staring at him? Unless… the couple had already silently stuck themselves right behind Xiaoming, facing the screen of his phone directly...

Don't Look Back (The Call by the Sea)

In the evening, Xiaoming was walking alone on a deserted beach, dialing his mom on his phone and chatting about everyday things. As he walked, Xiaoming noticed a young couple sitting on the sand not far ahead. Strangely, the couple wasn't looking at the sea or talking to each other; instead, both were staring intently at Xiaoming with extremely distorted, cold, and lifeless eyes. Feeling a chill run down his spine, Xiaoming unconsciously turned around, putting his back to the couple, and whispered into the phone, "Mom, I'm telling you, there's a couple ahead of me who are really weird. They keep glaring at me with terrifying eyes, and I've turned my back to them now..." Suddenly, there was dead silence on the other end of the line. After a few seconds, his mom replied to Xiaoming in an extremely terrified and trembling voice, unlike anything he had ever heard before.
