Amazing Feat!!👏

After having some mochi and ice cream, this is my total calorie intake... If I were to say 'I'm not getting enough vitamins/minerals!' or 'Not enough protein!' or 'Too much carbs!', that would be missing the point, but I'm actually getting most nutrients properly. My fat intake is a little over, but it's within the acceptable range👍 I enjoyed some ice cream after my bath without any guilt😊 While nutrition is essential for the body, it's also important for the mind and brain✌ Let's make sweets our ally and power through tomorrow!

Don't hold back too much

Thanks to the mugwort mochi I had for a snack, I was able to properly refuel my energy ✌ If I hadn't eaten the mugwort mochi, my total calorie intake would have been under 1,000 calories 😱 I'm getting plenty of vitamins, minerals, and protein, plus fiber from vegetables and mushrooms, so even on a low-calorie diet, I don't get hungry. Whether or not it's a concern is another matter, but I still have room in my carbs/fats, so I can still have something like a low-fat ice cream after a bath. As long as you don't overeat, you don't have to hold back on sweets at all while dieting ✌

Are Sweets the Enemy of Dieting?

Sweets are often thought of as the enemy of dieting, but if you eat them wisely, they can actually be your ally. Thanks to getting plenty of B vitamins yesterday and the day before, my stored fat😱 is being vigorously metabolized, so I'm not really hungry. But maybe because I play a lot of puzzle games for my point-earning activities, I'm craving something sweet (lol). My carb intake has been super low for the past few days, so it's time for a little carb replenishment. In RPG terms, sweets are like an M Potion (lol). White rice has almost no nutrients other than carbs, but Japanese sweets made with azuki beans offer other nutrients too. Especially the mugwort used in kusamochi (grass dumplings) is rich in iron and dietary fiber. So, is the idea that 'sweets = enemy of diet' outdated? Alright, let's keep going this afternoon too😊

Dieting is a puzzle game (lol)

For breakfast today, I had milk soup with the leftover clams from yesterday's can. What I aim for in my 【diet】: Rather than just focusing on calorie intake, it's about how much of the essential nutrients I can get while reducing fat and carbs to a level that doesn't harm my health. Simulating my meals with CalorieMile feels like playing a puzzle game, it's fun (lol)

I decided on this~😊

I decided after discussing it with Gemini, the chef (lol) Tonight's dinner😊 ※Clams and Cabbage Steamed in Sake (with Shiitake Mushrooms) ✌ Complete, except for Vitamin D and carbs👍 I can generate Vitamin D with sunlight, and I got some today, plus I'm on a diet so I'm not worried about carbs (lol) It's super low-calorie, but my stomach feels full😅 It's still early and I have some calorie room left, so I'll figure something out later if I get hungry (lol)

Oops, I messed up😱💦

I was eating rice this morning and thought the calories were a bit low, so I checked Calorie Mile again and realized I'd forgotten to log the two eggs I had for breakfast😱💦 So, naturally, I'll have to skip today's dessert (lol) Instead, I'll have an early dinner😋 But what should I eat… Calorie Mile has a clear idea of what I should eat, but it's just a bit of a hassle to prepare😅

What should I do?

Before dinner Maybe I'm a little hungry because I moved a bit today. Carbs and total calorie intake seem to be insufficient, so I simulated it with CalorieMate, but the numbers are iffy. If I eat now, I might go over my calorie limit depending on dinner 😅 The saying that you lose weight if your calorie consumption is less than your intake is true, but it's not the whole story. If you continue a diet with too low energy intake long-term, your brain will judge it as a starvation state due to lack of energy and switch to a fat-storing, energy-saving mode. Then it'll become even harder to lose weight 😱 Considering that, should I have a snack today? Or should I skip it? What should I do? (lol) What would you all do? 🤭

Not Pushing Myself

Today's lunch ※Tofu, tomato, and cucumber salad (Banana yogurt for dessert) You can still get proper nutrition without fancy cooking. It's okay to not think 'I *have* to cook~' 😱 If you can eat well, that's good enough 😊 Not overdoing it Not pushing yourself… might be the secret to sticking with it long-term.

Why I'm Not a Pro-Exercise Person

I wasn't exactly athletic to begin with, but I didn't dislike moving my body, you know? 😅 These days, I'm not doing any of the running, walking, or strength training that are usually associated with dieting. Early this year, I came down with severe pneumonia that became chronic and combined with asthma attacks. I wasn't hospitalized, but my doctor told me to rest at home for a while. Regarding the pneumonia, I was told at my July check-up that it should be fine as long as it doesn't recur. Right now, I get exhausted just preparing a simple meal. 😅 Just a little while ago, because the sun came out, I put my futon out to air, vacuumed, and then put it back... and just doing that tired me out a bit, so I'm taking a break before lunch. 😅 My doctor hasn't given me any specific exercise or lifestyle restrictions, but I'm in a situation where I have to avoid strenuous exercise. Even so, I've come to doubt the idea that 'exercise is essential for weight loss!' since I can lose body fat and visceral fat just by eating. If you think of it as a diet that even someone who's half-sick can stick to, doesn't it feel like a lower hurdle for those who aren't good at exercise? 🤭 (lol) Well, it's almost time for lunch.

Not Exactly Gourmet, But...

Today's breakfast ※Egg Omelet with Seaweed Flakes ※Hearty Miso Soup ※Natto ※Rice Just this and it's 586kcal 😅 I'm on a diet, and I barely move, so why is it okay to eat this much? If you don't eat, you won't get the nutrients necessary for metabolism. By the way, Vitamin B complex is necessary for fat metabolism. It's especially abundant in animal products. Actually, I discovered I had gained a lot of weight in March of this year. Even though I couldn't move much, I started a 'eating diet' in April while managing with an app called 'CaloMile'. By August, in about 4 months, I lost nearly 10kg. Not just my weight, but also my body fat percentage and visceral fat ✌
